What's in the bag....for now!

I'm a terrible tinkerer when it comes to golf clubs. I'm always looking for the next thing that will help me improve my game. I'm a big fan of ebay, golfbidder or any other source of second hand clubs so I can exercise my habit without breaking the bank. As a result, my bag is constantly changing. But one thing that has remained consistent over the years is my love for Mizuno clubs (although they may be on the chopping block too!)

The cliche of nothing feels like a Mizuno is definitely true for me, I love the way they feel...but is there something better suited to me....tinker tinker! I am worried about losing that feeling though.

Here's a look at what's currently in my bag:

* Driver: Cobra LTDx LS (9 degrees +1D)
   Project X HZRDUS Smoke 6.0/Tensei white       stiff (I swap between the two)
* 3 Wood: Taylormade Sim 2 Titanium
    (15 degrees) Tensei blue stiff
* 2/3iron: Wilson Staff Utility (18 degrees)
    Stiff KBS hybrid shaft
* Irons: Mizuno JPX 900 Forged (4-PW)
    Project X 6.0
* Wedges: Callaway MD5 50/12, 56/10, MD4         60/8
* Putter: Ping Sigma 2 Tyne

Although generally I'm happy with the clubs in my bag right now, I am considering some changes.  I think the lofts of my irons need checking as the gapping seems off (see 4/5 and 8/7 irons), which is leading me down the road of "well if I'm going to have to get the lofts checked I may as well just try something new." I could keep them and be totally fine.  I won't, but I could!
(Showing my callaway 5 Wood which I swap in and out with the 3, but the numbers are the same basically. More on this issue to follow I think)

All of the irons in my bag are half an inch longer than the standard Mizuno length, which makes them about a quarter inch over standard. Japanese clubs are often a quarter inch shorter as standard. I find that this helps me to hit the ball further, but I think I'm on the verge of standard length for my height (bang on 6 foot) and the shorter length might assist in ball striking so I might experiment in future. I assume the lie angles are standard mizuno, but I don't know for sure. All I know is I had some blue dot Pings a few years back and they were perfect, so I'm thinking about going for 1 up in future.

The 3 and 4 irons can be swapped out for hybrids. I think I might play around with this going forward.
The 3 wood is fighting for it's spot over an old faithful callaway 5 Wood.
The wedges are currently being attacked by some game improvement cavity back beasties. Feels like there may be a competition post coming up!

Also exciting I'm about to cut down my HZRDUS shaft by 0.75 to an inch to tour length to see what impact this has.

Of course I'll keep a log here of the changes that are sure to happen.
